“modbar is a new and revolutionary coffee brewing experience. completely modular with all the major hardware under-counter, all the customer experiences are beautiful ‘taps’ that are designed for espresso, steam, and drip coffee…”
Modbar’s Steam Module delivers astonishingly dry steam and tremendous power. In the hands of a master barista, the vertical lever gives fine-touch control of steam volume. Designed for ease of use and maintenance, the Steam Module reflects the Modbar’s values: elegance and durability. Each Steam Module can power two steam taps (see Options & Pricing for more detail).
Ready for right- and left-hand operation equally, Modbar’s vertical lever control echoes the espresso module. Its barista-friendly, ergonomic features include a “dual-cool” steam wand to prevent burns and a robust but light-touch lever.
Slight catches in the lever control give the barista the ability to steam more gently when desired…but a touch will shift Modbar’s Steam Module into full power.
Because the Steam Module can power two steam wands, retailers have several options in how they fit the Module into their equipment plan. Picture one steam tap on either side of two espresso taps. Or two steam taps – driven by one module – between to espresso work stations. Like every Modbar module, the Steam Module provides retailers an opportunity to improve the flow on both sides of the bar.
The Modbar espresso system consists of one espresso tap and one espresso module.
Multiple espresso systems are arranged with our steam and pour-over systems to create all new bar designs, enhanced customer experiences and improved ergonomics and workflow patterns for the coffee professional.
Every aspect of Modbar comes alive in the Espresso Module: Elegant design, robust build, and extreme performance. We have taken the advice of baristas, retail managers, and equipment technicians and put them to use. That’s why you see ambidexterity, durability, and ease of maintenance and service above and below counter.
The Espresso System gives the barista tremendous control. With the industries most advanced pressure-profiling system, touch-screen control interface, multi-function lever handle and heads up display with shot-clock and volumetric dosing capabilities… there is a lot explore with your coffee.
Each Espresso Module controls one tap. Retailers have an opportunity to dial each Espresso Module to fit a different coffee. And they have options galore in how they fit the Modules to their retail set-up. Bar curves and corners are not impediments to an under-counter module. Modbar’s Espresso Module opens the bar, literally and figuratively
Modbar’s Pour-Over Module brings precision-temperature water to the counter – no more pitchers
losing valuable temperature between the back wall and the pour-over solution. Pour directly into your Chemex, Hario or other pour-over system…you define the temperature. Modbar even provides a holder for many Chemex and Hario systems as well as optional spray or stream nozzle tip. Plus, you can teach Modbar software to replicate your pouring technique.
Modbar wanted to make brewing pour-over coffee easier and better by bringing the water solution to the bar and removing temperature loss when water is transferred. The Modbar Pour-Over includes optional additional wand holders (used to brew multiple carafes without moving them) and cone holders. We can support custom requests at times as well. With the Pour-Over Module, you’ll have more time to educate and entertain.
Modbar’s software enables the user to “teach” the Pour-Over module how to pour, wait, pour in the exact time intervals and water volumes you like to saturate grounds and brew coffee. And the barista or manager controls brew temperature and volume too.
Thanks to the modular nature of Modbar products, you can create a pour-over station with one or more taps or simply include the Pour-Over Module in a work station (ie, next to Espresso and Steam Modules). How much pour-over business do you do? How much more could you do if it were more appealing?
